It didn’t hit me until recently that I might be a trusted source for what to gift your friend who just got engaged until a friend asked me what she could do for her friend who was about to be proposed to. As a girl with a strong skew toward the “gift” love language, tangible goods are one of the quickest ways to show me you spent time and energy thinking about me.
I have been so lucky to receive some really thoughtful gifts in my time as a bride, and everything I am sharing today is something I have already been given in this engagement period and love!
Bridal mug- This was one of the first gifts I received after getting engaged, and for a coffee lover, it doesn’t get much better! I absolutely love taking photos with it and drinking my morning coffee out of it. It makes it that much more fun for me to daydream about the days when I will get to drink coffee with my husband every morning!
Bridal Sash- I was given this before my bachelorette party, and it was so much fun to wear for pictures! It makes everything just a little bit more special!
Kate Spade pajamas- I have been gifted several sweet pairs of comfy pajamas for life after the wedding, and I couldn’t get over how good of a gift it was! All of my pajamas now are not cute at all, and I think it’s so fun to have cute matching sets for married life!
Robe- Someone gave me this robe, and I can’t get over how cute it is! I have something else to get ready for the day in, but I will definitely wear this the week of the wedding and in and out of the shower on that day! I also can’t wait to wear it after the wedding for daily getting ready!
Greeting Card Organizer- I had never seen something like this until someone gifted it to me in the very early days of our engagement. I personally love cards, and I think this is a great idea to have something to do with them rather than just stuffing them in a random shoebox! This makes it so much easier and more fun to look back on.
Prayer and Planning book- I actually gifted this to my self at the beginning of the year, and I have loved it so much! It has tips, most of which I would have done anyways, but I do like how it tells you when the best time to start getting facials, calling vendors, etc. is. I also love the prayers. It’s so nice to get in the habit of intentionally praying for your future husband. Half the book is also for your mom to read at the same time as you are, but as my mom and I don’t live together, she will get the copy as soon as I am finished!
I hope this sparked some inspiration on what to get your bestie bride! This is such a fun time, and I am blown away by all the gifts I have already received. These are just a handful of the amazing, thoughtful gifts I have been given in the past eight months, and I can’t believe we still have the bridal shower to go.
