Welcome

School essentials with Amazon Prime

July 18, 2019

How is it almost time to go back to school? Summer usually drags by for me, but I really took a different approach this year and challenged myself to grow, and I think it made all the difference for my summer appreciation.

The best part of going back to school for me? All the cute school supplies I gravitate toward. As a college senior (how did that even happen by the way?), I have discovered my fair share of school must haves. The school supply aisle at Walmart or Target always stresses me out, and unless you get there the exact moment it’s set out, chances are it’s going to be very picked over. Amazon is the perfect solution to avoid the school supplies mania. Here are my favorite school supplies for a productive and fun school year.

Flair pens: these are the best for writing notes! I think having bright colored notes helps me remember the chapter or concept we discussed better when test time comes. Pencils were all I used in high school, but trust me, pens are way faster to take notes with in college. I like that these don’t bleed through all the way! I bought one big pack at the beginning of college and have worked my way through them slowly, but it might be time to repurchase.

Highlighters: these are my favorite highlighters of all time. They cover the entire height of my writing in one swipe and are so smooth! I prefer them much more than Sharpie ones.

Pencil bag:  being organized enough to actually use your different pens is another story. I have had the same pencil bag all through college, but I am upgrading to this one from Amazon.

Planner: I have friends who don’t use a planner, and I am always mind blown that they get everything accomplished and kept straight. I would forget everything without mine! My favorites are Lilly Pulitzer or ban.do ones from My Kind of Lovely!

Reinforced notebook paper: This is THE best paper. The edges are reinforced, and it lasts all semester! With lots of cumulative exams in college, keeping notes in good condition is really important. This paper is perfect for any information you need to last for a long time.

Backpack: this might be the most essential item for college students. A bag or purse just didn’t work for me in college. My favorite brand for school is The North Face, and they will last you for years.

Those are my must haves for school! I know it’s getting close for a lot of people, and I am praying for each and every one of you to have the best school year ever. Let me know some of your school must haves in my most recent post on Instagram, @classicallygrace!

Also, I wanted to mention that when shopping on Amazon, make sure you’re logged onto smile.amazon.com because this allows Amazon to donate a portion of your sale to a charity of your choice. In just a few years, my purchases have resulted in almost $20 dollars for the charity I chose. I know this isn’t much, but every little bit helps!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
