Hi everyone! It’s been a few months since my first wedding update. When I wrote that one, we hadn’t done engagement photos, finished our dessert plan or booked our getaway car. Now, we have all those things done! We did so much in those first few weeks, that I felt like I wasn’t going to have that much to update you guys on, but when I sat down to write it I kept coming up with notes! At this point, I am actually considering doing an entire week of wedding themed posts- we’ll see how it goes! Here is what’s been going on in the wedding department since I last updated everyone!
Engagement photos- these are done, and I am so happy with them! I did an engagement photo reveal here if you want to check them out. I absolutely love them, and they made me so much more excited for the wedding photos. Preston and I also had so much fun taking them with our sweet photographer Danielle, and I can only imagine how fun the wedding day will be.
First event- I was so, so surprised when my aunt and my mom worked together to throw me a surprise craft night at the Knoxville AR workshop. We all made wooden signs together and ate cheese and cake, and it was perfect. Having the first official celebration event made it seem so much more real. I plan to do a post about this with pictures soon!
Registry- We are officially registered! We made wish lists at Pottery Barn, Pampered Chef and Amazon. I am so happy with all the things we have picked out, and picking everything out made me so excited to live everyday life with Preston! We are using The Knot to host our registry and other wedding information on our wedding website, linked here. I think our shower is scheduled for sometime in October- I can’t wait to see everyone!
Wedding Suite- Our wedding suite is finished! Invitations, save the dates, RSVP cards and thank you cards are all designed and ready to be printed. We are picking out paper samples and envelope colors soon, and then they will be ready to send. There are a few reasons I am so excited for this, but I won’t reveal too much about it until after the wedding. However, I will do a reveal of our wedding crest on the blog later this week!
Vendors- We booked the second dessert we’re having, the car that will take us away, the hotel the night of the wedding, the hotel rooms for everyone to get ready in, the food and so many other little, tiny details on the vendor front.
Honeymoon- We booked our honeymoon on my birthday! This is perhaps what I am most excited for, besides the wedding and being married. I am going to do a full post revealing our destination! Preston and I have talked about it for hours in just the two days since we booked it.
What’s Left- I am still waiting on my wedding dress to come in + alterations, order the guest book, pick out preston’s suit and wedding band, pick out my wedding band, get garter, pick out exact flowers we want and many more tiny details to come I’m sure! I can’t wait to update you guys again in a few weeks!!
