Hello friends! I am sooo happy that I am home for Christmas and able to get back in the swing of blogging. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are much less fun when I don’t get to post.
Today I have a few unique Christmas gift ideas. So many bloggers have great gift guides out there, but sometimes I just don’t want to follow the candle, scarf, hat route. These gifts are all a little out of the ordinary line up and could be ordered in time for Christmas. I hope you find some inspiration for your next gift exchange.
Real wreath- We all know those people who don’t need any more things. Christmas is mainly about showing how much you love your people, but there are those that know and would rather not have anything tangible. To solve that problem- real Christmas wreaths! These can be picked up at a ton of grocery stores (I got mine from Mayo for you Knoxville people), and they usually run around $25! I got this for my (soon-to-be) in-laws, and I think they will really love it for their front porch!
Paris Woodhull print – A piece of artwork can be hard to pick out for someone. What will go with their house? What is special to them? I think the best route to go for art pieces is prints! They come in all different sizes and are usually neutral enough to go with any decor. I linked this one from a local artist who has a lot of prints specific to areas in Knoxville, but I am sure there is someone who does prints of your area!
Specific ornament – I know a lot of people that get an ornament each year that represents a big event that happened. Examples are car ornaments when someone gets their license, an apple if you visited NYC, a house if you moved, etc. I always do this for my friend Ciara, and she said she loves her growing collection. This gift shows that you were invested in their life this year and want to celebrate them. Bonus points if the ornament represents something you did with the receiver! I love these shiny, unique ornaments. You can find them all over Hobby Lobby and Amazon!
Popcorn maker- Me and my mom love making popcorn the “old-fashioned” way. This popcorn makes it more convenient (besides using the microwave, lol) and it’s just so cute. This would be a great gift for someone who loves kitchen things but already has it all or someone who is concerned about being healthy!
Embroidery Starter Kit- If you have a friend that is even slightly creative, this embroidery kit would be so fun. Most people who are creative can easily pick up new skills like this, and the starter kit would help move them along.
Succulent + Planter- This would be a great gift for someone you may joke about being bad at keeping things alive. Succulents are fine all year round which makes this a gift that keeps on giving. Succulents can be picked up at almost any home improvement or gardening center, and I linked an idea for a cool planter!
Goody box- The next time you can’t find something special to give someone, get them everything! Some of my favorite gifts I have ever given are pretty gift boxes with all of that person’s favorite things and a few special items mixed in. You can put in their favorite candy, trinkets that made you think of them, pictures of you together, germx, the list goes on. The only downside to this gift is that it can take some time to collect all the items, and Christmas is soon people!
Tickets to a play- If you live within an hour and a half drive from even a mid-size city, chances are there is some sort of play or activity going on. Most people I know loooove experience gifts. Get both of you tickets to a Christmas Carol and then go get coffee afterwards! It will be fun and memorable.
I hope some of these ideas sparked your gift-giving imagination. I look forward to seeing my loved ones open their gifts almost more than I enjoy receiving anything. Christmas is such a special time. I hope you all are having a great season so far.
