It’s been two months since my last photo diary post- yikes! I try to do these regularly, but I’m confident I’ll get more into the swing of it because I’ve recently gotten better at planning my content calendar.
If you’re new here since my last photo diary, these posts are inspired by Carly’s, and I use them to round up some photos that didn’t quite make it to Instagram or the blog but are still memories I want to have here. I also try to make sure these photos aren’t edited at all to keep things as real as possible! For so much of my presence online, I take pride in the aesthetics, but I know it’s so important to remind everyone that Instagram is just a highlight reel. My life is crazy and messy just like everyone else.
I shared a little bit more about this on instagram, but my mental and physical health hit an all time, pandemic low. I was just feeling burnt out, hard on myself, unmotivated, you name it. So many of you reached out sharing that you felt the same, which is unfortunate, but it is nice to know we are not alone.
Things are looking better, though! Preston gifted me this nifty laptop stand, and it’s already helped with my shoulder pain.
We had a cozy Valentine’s night in, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. We watched “Walk the Line” for the first time, and it was really good. I also can’t believe that’s the only role Reese Witherspoon has won an Oscar for— she was great, but I feel she has so many other good roles!
One of Preston’s Valentine’s treats was Red Clay Hot Sauce— I got him the original and the habanero, but he loves the original best if you’re looking to pick some up! I got ours at The Fresh Market, but you can order them at their website or Amazon.
A few of my friends came over to watch To All the Boys I’ve Loved: Always and Forever the day it came out. We attempted to make heart shaped pizzas, but they didn’t exactly come out as hearts. The taste more than made up for it though!
The Trader Joe’s fresh pizza dough is next level. Seriously, there’s no reason to make your own because it’s just so good.
We went on a new hike in Knoxville last weekend, and it was so fun. It went through this abandoned quarry in Knoxville, and it took us double the time because we were taking so many photos and looking around in awe. I don’t know why, but we just thought it was so interesting.
We also got lost on this hike and ended up calling an uber… haha. I put together some of the videos from it for a reel, which I’ve been doing a lot lately! Something about looking through old footage when we haven’t traveled in forever brings me so much comfort. Now that I’m typing this, I want to put some together from our time in Italy, Charleston, random hikes we’ve been on, you name it!
Our bedroom window is located on the side that doesn’t get too much sun, but it was so bright the other day. I had to snap a photo! I also really want to freshen up our bedding this year. I am trying to get away from the gray and look for something more in the “flax” color. We’ll see if I actually decide to invest though…
My longest, best friend Jordan had her sweet, tiny baby girl, and she is just perfect. Her name is Emma James, and it feels so sweet and strange for my friend to be a mother! She is already so great at it.
Did you know that you can buy any of the crafts from AR Workshop? They will craft anything up for you. My MIL eyes this tray every single time we go into the workshop, and my mom and I finally just ordered it for her! They so nicely put handles on it and coated it with the food safe layer. My MIL squealed when she saw it, and I honestly can’t blame her because it’s that beautiful. This picture doesn’t even do it justice.

That’s it for this week’s photo diary! I hope you all enjoy these posts as much as I like rounding them up.
