With work from home having no end in sight, we’ve been diligently trying new lunch ideas to keep things exciting. Trader Joe’s Lunch Ideas are one of the most trustworthy options for me and my husband, and after a few weeks we’ve found some great go tos that I wanted to share here in case anyone is looking for inspiration.
Trader Joe’s Lunch Ideas
Turkey corn dogs
These turkey corn dogs are so good and one of the easiest items to whip up for lunch. The turkey makes it feel slightly healthier than just a regular corn dog, too!
Trader Joe’s Fish Sticks
We were very skeptical of these fish sticks, but we like them a lot! They really are good, and they completely remind me of childhood!
Dr. Praeger’s Veggie Burgers
These are in the frozen section, and they’ve been thoroughly enjoyed by us for many lunches and dinners. We rarely have hamburger buns on hand, but I think these are equally as good prepared as a regular sandwich or on top of a salad/bowl!
Rainbow Wrap
The review on the embedded instagram post says otherwise, but I personally really enjoyed this and so did Preston and my friend Skylar! I wonder if it depends on the day? I loved it though and think about it all the time. It’s a good option if you’re vegetarian/vegan or looking to take a break from meat for the day.
Pot Sticker Stir Fry with Dipping Sauce
We absolutely love their potstickers! These are so yummy, especially with the Gyoza dipping sauce. They are also ready incredibly quickly.
Veggie Tray Bake
Also, we love getting their chicken sausage in the meat section and pairing it with sweet potatoes, broccoli, onions, etc for a little tray bake! I don’t have any recipe for this, but I just follow the cooking instructions for the sausage and look up roasting time for the veggies I happen to have that day online. I will usually season the veggies however I’m feeling too – sorry I don’t a more step by step here!
3 Ingredient Trader Joe’s Lunch Ideas
There’s a wonderful article from Tasty with lots of three ingredient Trader Joe’s lunch ideas, and it really was the catalyst for our adventures with Trader Joe’s lunch ideas. Here are our favorites from the list.
Grilled chicken strips, caesar salad kit and tortillas
This is delicious! You also don’t have to use the tortillas and can just eat it as a salad if you want.
Cheese tortellini, prosciutto and brussel sprouts
This one takes a tiny bit more time, especially if your Trader Joe’s location is out of the pre-shredded brussel sprouts. My location always seems to be out of them!
Gyro meat, frozen naan bread and tzatziki sauce
This is sooo good. We usually add whatever veggies we have in our fridge that need to be used up. Spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, shaved zucchini, shaved carrots, etc. It’s so nice and fresh! make sure you find the frozen naan bread, because the version in the bakery isn’t as good.
Thanks for reading this post! I hope this gave you some inspiration for your next trip to Trader Joe’s and makes preparing lunch every single day even slightly easier. These meals take a lot of stress off the table (ha, get it?) for us daily, and I hope this helps you in that regard too.
