Welcome

Blogs I Read Every Day

August 27, 2020

I am not sure how many people still read blogs, but I have been a diligent blog reader since I was in high school and never stopped. I just love learning new things, leaving inspired and getting to know other people/perspectives. I can accomplish all three of these goals after checking my usual blogs each morning before I start work, and I thought it would be fun to share those with you all today in case anyone is looking for new blogs or wants to start reading blogs regularly.

I feel like this is a medium amount of blogs to follow daily, I know people who read upwards of 20 blogs a day and some people who only check up on one or two.

Carly The Prepster – This is the blog I check the most frequently, I feel like my day can’t truly begin until I have read what Carly posts each day. I think this dedication is mainly due to her consistent posting schedule, she uploads every single day, and I find that so refreshing. It’s nice to know I can always count on her to have new content, even if it’s a small post or update. She also inspires me to incorporate more lifestyle content into my calendar.

Brighton The Day- Brighton is one of my newer follows. I had kept up with her a long time ago but somehow lost her in the algorithm. I somehow saw she got married in January and decided to check back in with her content. I am now fully back reading what she posts and following her on Insta. She also created an Instagram dedicated to essential oils, and we all know I am a fan of that.

Lonestar Southern- Kate is every southern gal’s inspiration, she seriously gives me so many ideas for outfits, home design, vacations, everything. I love that she was recently featured in Southern Living- I mean goals right?

Katies’ Bliss- I mainly love Katie’s travel content, which she hasn’t been uploading recently because of obvious reasons! She also posts really good guides and outfit inspiration.

Covering the Bases- Krista is traditional, classic style inspiration, but she lives in NYC which I think is super neat. She shares really good product comparisons, weekend updates and travel content.

The Stripe- Grace is a new follow I just started keeping up with during quarantine, and I am so glad I found her. She has the bad on paper podcast, and it’s a really easy, casual listen.

Julia Berolzheimer- I have followed Julia for so long, and she is just my total lifestyle inspiration in life. If I ever fall into the trap of idealizing someone’s life and thinking everything is perfect, it’s her! But I know no one’s life is perfect, including Julia’s. Her content is just dreamy, and I think it’s fun to have a few follows that are totally unattainable, haha. Keep in mind, most of the items Julia shares are $$$. I saw a sweatshirt I absolutely loved on her page, I clicked on the link, and the sweatshirt was $1300….

______________

I hope these women give a little bit of inspiration, and if this gets you interested even slightly in blogs, I will be ecstatic!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
