Welcome

Christmas Chocolate Peanuts

I’m back with another recipe post! I hope no one is getting worn out from my constant talk about cooking and baking, but it truly is something that sets my heart on fire this year. I just never thought I would be here, but it’s been the happiest surprise.

This recipe is extra special to me, because it’s actually the quintessential Christmas dessert my grandma would make for us each year. I also think it’s a little bit less widely made than fudge or buckeyes, so I thought it might be fun to share with you all.

There cannot be an easier Christmas dessert recipe! As long as you have a crockpot and some parchment paper, you’re good to go.

Apart from the sentimentality, I love that it’s a more hands off dessert in case you’re also making a lot of other cookies and treats at the same time! These are very giftable, so make sure to stick around to the end of the post for how I am packaging these up. Not to mention, as long as you keep these in an air-tight container, these stay “fresh” for a very long time! Which is convenient if you’re making deliveries or taking these to a gathering multiple days a part.

I’ll link this exact crock pot and some other items used in this recipe down below! Luckily my crock pot was just big enough, and I love the timer feature.

Is this not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?

I used our ice cream scooper to help me gauge the right size for each cluster, but I think you could also use a cookie scoop or a medium to big spoon!

You can make the clusters as big and small as you’d like! I enjoy diversifying the size of mine so you can choose how decadent of a treat you’re feeling!

I put some flaky sea salt on a few while they were still  warm, I didn’t do all of them since it was something I hadn’t tested! Now I wish I had done them all that way!

I got all these packing supplies from Hobby Lobby for 50% off! These are going to my neighbor and our building manager. I’ll also bring the rest home for us to enjoy all Christmas week long!
