Welcome

A Day in My Life

September 5, 2018

Hi friends!! Classes are in full swing, and while some may be sad about that fact, I love it!! Having a great routine is one of my favorite aspects about this season of life I am in. I wanted to share what a day of school looks like for me on here! I attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxvile, so this routine might be a little specific to life on Rocky Top, but hopefully it gives an idea of college in general. This is my schedule for MWF, but TR is a little different because I don’t start class until 2pm. I am going to keep this document open on my computer all day so I can just jot down what I am doing every time I open my computer- let’s get started!

8:00am- My alarm goes off at 8, but I would be lying if I said I sprang right out of bed. I am usually up and getting ready by 8:15.

9:00am- I am finished getting ready, and now either making breakfast in my dorm or going to Einstein’s on campus with my bff roomie. I always look at my planner and my computer around this time to make sure I didn’t miss anything that’s due for the day.

9:45am- I head out the door for class! I am always the person that shows up 20 minutes early to class- it’s a great time to talk to people about the class or make friends!

12:05pm- I am out of my first two classes of the day, and I meet up with Skylar and Preston for lunch. We usually go to Stokely cafeteria or grab something in the POD (a mini grocery store).

1:30pm- My goal is always to work out, but that doesn’t always end up happening if I have too much to work on. Today I am actually going to go!

2:15pm- I get back to my dorm from the gym, and today I put in a quick load of laundry since the afternoon is usually when I can get an open washer.

3:35pm- I head to my last class for the day!

5:00pm- I am done with class, and then I head back to my dorm to work on homework before getting into dinner plans.

6:30pm- Almost every night we sit in our cozy living room while watching movies and working on homework. It really makes homework more fun!

11:00pm- I get ready for bed around this time every night. I enjoy using my clarisonic, reading Jesus Calling, and watching a youtube video or two. Maybe I can share a night time routine soon?

That’s it for my usual Wednesday. I absolutely love college because of all the freedom the schedule gives you! I know this time of my life is when I will have the most free time, and I truly try to soak it up.

I hope you all have a great day 🙂

Almost 21 days of time moving my body with this community! Doesn’t even capture the enjoyable hours spent at book clubs, special events, working play lounge years ago, all the things 🧡

Couldn’t let this accomplishment pass without a spot on the feed! I’m so thankful for this community and the lifelong friendships I’ve created out of it.
