It’s officially gift guide time! Several people have asked if I am putting together gift guides this year, and honestly the answer was going to be no. Then, Carly from Carly the Prepster shared an INCREDIBLE small business gift guide, and it really encouraged me to do the same except with the businesses I hold near and dear to my heart. Read more
Recent Reads, October
Another reading post, ah makes my heart happy. I’ve read a TON recently, I think it’s just because I am settling in for the winter and practicing coziness. I think know I overworked myself in September and October, so I have been a little hard on myself when it comes to being less productive lately. Reading is nice though because it allows me to still feel productive while actually still resting. Read more
Meals Lately No. 3
I’m here for another round of recent meals! I hope you all love these posts as much as I do. Plus, keep your eyes out for a super special recipe related post coming very soon.
It’s been so long since I did one of these posts, so I am sure I missed multiple dishes! If you have a question about any of these meals, please reach out to me on Instagram, and I would be happy to help! Read more
How I Became A Better Cook
If year-ago me had read the title of this post, I probably would have been really surprised. I’ve talked about my journey with cooking before, but I wanted to take today and give an official blog update. Read more
How I Schedule My Days + Weeks
I mentioned a couple weeks ago that these next few months were going to be really busy for me and boy was I right. Time management has been so crucial for me, and while I still can’t claim to even be half as together as I would like to be, I think I am doing fairly well. I thought it might be helpful to list out the tips and tools I have been using to keep myself on track, just in case anyone else has as much riding on time management as I do! Also, I just want to mention how ironic this post is, because it’s actually the second time I’m writing it (somehow didn’t save it after fully writing it in SEPTEMBER), AND it was supposed to be published at 6:30 a.m. this morning, but instead it’s going out after 3 p.m.- I am doing my best, haha!Read more
Eyeing Lately
I can’t believe it’s already Friday! This week has passed quickly and slowly all at the same time somehow. I think it’s mainly due to the anticipation coming with the first acceptable day to start somewhat getting in the Christmas spirit. My mom always begins decorating on Nov. 1 (even having my dad get out the Christmas decorations from the attic on Halloween night!), but I think I will probably just take down all my Halloween decor, leave up plain pumpkins for maybe two weeks, then start decorating for Christmas (besides the tree) around mid-November. Emily in Paris: Homemade Halloween “Costume”
Halloween already feels so, so different this year. It’s usually the one occasion I have a pretty big party for- It’s Harry Potter themed, and I usually go all out and send invitations, decorate, do a themed menu, dress as a HP character, etc. It’s always so much fun, but this year I just knew I wasn’t capable of making it as big as usual. With the pandemic, I haven’t hosted a big gathering in quite sometime. Thinking about the party made me feel tired rather than excited like I usually am. Read more
Recent Purchases 10.23
Admittedly I have been on a shopping hiatus recently. But, for some reason I saw an uptick in my purchases over the past few weeks (nothing crazy, but when you’re not shopping at all, even a few things feels intense, haha), and I wanted to share here!Read more
Tech Chat With Preston
Today’s post is a little bit different but something I have been wanting to do for a while- Preston is here with some tech tips and tricks he’s picked up along the way of studying to be a computer scientist at UT Knoxville. I’m bragging on him, but he actually gets PAID to go to grad school and get his doctorate. So he is definitely a technology expert. Read more
Scenes From The Apple Orchard
One of the top to-dos on my fall bucket list was visiting an apple orchard, but with the hustle and bustle during October so far, I honestly wasn’t sure if we would be able to make it work. Thankfully, the perfect evening opened up, and we were able to make the hour drive to Carver’s Apple Orchard & Farmhouse Restaurant. Read more
