“How do you read so much?” is one of my most frequently asked questions. I always give the same 3-4 sentence answer, but getting the question so much really made me consider how I do power through all the books I do. I’ve realized there are so many reading habits that add up to a lot of reading success, and I wanted to share here in case you’re needing reading inspiration.Read more

5 Items I’m Eyeing this Spring
I’ve explained my commitment to thinking through purchases intensely many times, but that process has never been as tested as it’s been lately. Everything in me wants to just splurge and get all these items at the same time because I just perfectly picture my life with these. I know it will be helpful to talk through them here, because I’m really trying to think intentionally through them.Read more
Ten Sunday Happies No. 1
In a recent podcast episode, I mentioned Sunday scaries had crept back into my life since starting my new job. It’s not due to one specific thing, but I think just that feeling of uncertainty for the week ahead in a time of transition.
Multiple of my favorite follows (Halfbaked Harvest, Amber Fillerup, Fran Accardio, etc) share a certain number of things, links, articles, etc they have loved/want to talk about in regular posts, and I thought this would be the perfect new post series for me to start here on the blog.
So, every other Sunday, check here for a roundup of 10 Sunday happies that will help me (and hopefully you!) battle the Sunday scaries.Read more
Gift Guide: Valentine’s Gifts *all* Categories
The giving and receiving of gifts is my love language, meaning I’m constantly on the hunt for great gifts to bestow upon countless individuals in my life. I know it’s typical to gift to your romantic partner on Valentine’s, but I actually think it’s the perfect excuse to buy something special for your girlfriends, mom or anyone else important in your life.
Once I started working on this post, it was hard to stop listing gifts! I’ve divided it up into categories to make sifting through it a little bit easier.Read more
5 Ways to Make Valentine’s Day Special This Year
If I’m being honest, Valentine’s Day has never been my *most* favorite holiday. I generally love it, but for some reason it just doesn’t hold the excitement for me that other holidays do. I think it has something to do with the lead up for it being short— it feels weird to start celebrating it in January, but then you only have two weeks to build up to it during February.
This year lends itself to an even more difficult Valentine’s Day season due to the complications brought along by COVID-19.
Although, when I was making my free February backgrounds, I did feel myself leaning more into the Valentine’s spirit and thinking of a few ways I wanted to celebrate the holiday of love during this isolated season. I think I came up with a few fun and unique ways to celebrate safely this year, and I’m excited to share those today!Read more
What I Read: January 2021
I’m back for another installment of “What I read: _____!” I know I mention it every single time, but I just LOVE doing these. I’m determined to start making them more detailed because I’ve had requests for more book/reading content recently. Please let me know if you like this format or if there’s something in particular you would like me to share about each read.
In our recent “The Business of Influencing” podcast episode, we talked about what our dream brand sponsorships would be, and after writing this, I’m kicking myself for not saying a publishing house!
This is the best month I have ever had for reading, by a long shot. I’m very cyclical on habits— I get really into streaming, books, cross stitch, etc. all at once. This month was really reading, and I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to read this many books in one month again, but I hope that’s not the case!
So, if you’re looking for great books to curl up to with all winter long, make sure you see which ones I recommend and which ones I’d skip below.
