Welcome

One Pair of Shoes, Three Ways

August 24, 2020

featured-image

It feels so long ago that I did a style post and simply shared an outfit with you all. I was missing the fun of putting an outfit together, and just decided to go for it after getting in one pair of shoes I ordered from the Nordstrom Sale. I haven’t been shopping much, so something about getting one new pair of shoes really refreshed my outlook on my wardrobe. Luckily, at the time I am putting this post together, these shoes are completely in stock in black, leopard and snakeskin.Read more

HUGE Nordstrom Sale Roundup, My Picks in Fashion, Activewear, Home, Etc!

August 10, 2020

featured-image

I shared my Nordstrom sale yearly must haves last week, but now I am officially ready to show you everything I found after digging through the website for what seems like hours on end. I can’t shop anything from the sale until Aug. 10, but I think it’s fairly safe to share some of these items now- the people shopping before me are those who spend 10K+ at Nordstrom every year, and I don’t think that group is super large/will buy a lot of the budget-friendly picks. What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and How Can You Shop?

July 31, 2020

featured-image

A few days ago I shared a little bit about the Nordstrom sale, but I actually got a couple questions after sharing. I thought it might be nice to share a little bit here and answer some of the questions I received. This is probably my fourth year shopping the sale, and I have always been super happy with my purchases. I still own everything I have purchased over the years, but I think I owe all that to being really intentional and smart before hitting ‘purchase.’Read more

If I Was Shopping

July 28, 2020

featured-image

I love online window shopping- something about just picturing the items, how I would style them, taking note of trends I have seen, etc. is just so fun. I realized I had built up quite a few reoccurring notices, and I wanted to round them up here. Read more

Little White Dresses

July 23, 2020

featured-image

Maybe it’s because I was in a wedding this past weekend or maybe it’s just because I have leftover space in my attention span for all things white, but I have noticed SO many white dresses recently. One problem that always came up for me was finding white dresses fit for winter time, but I am afraid that not many seem to exist. Summer and into late summer, Read more

10 Dresses I Wish I Was Wearing This Summer

July 14, 2020

featured-image

I am just a happier person when I am wearing a dress. Something about waking up in the morning, getting ready and putting on a dress changes my entire mood for the better. Even though I have been working from home since early March, I have spent a significant portion of time “dressed up” to a certain degree. I am definitely not as dressed up as I would be in the office, but I usually have on something semi-presentable. Read more

Summer pajamas

July 10, 2020

featured-image

I have been so centered on buying cute and comfortable pajama sets since we got engaged. Before that time, I honestly just wore the same shorts and t-shirts Preston gave me when we first started dating. I never imagined I would want something to wear other than that, but then as soon as we got engaged I realized I wanted something a little bit more wife material and soft. Read more

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
