Welcome

Diary

July 7, 2020

On the heels of yesterday’s inspirational blog post roundup, I decided to take a note out of Carly’s book and roundup some of the photos from my phone’s camera roll- images that I don’t really upload to Instagram but just ones that make me happy in the little moments of the day. These are some of my favorite posts Carly does, and I believe she does on every other week. I don’t know how often I will do them, but definitely let me know if you enjoy it by messaging me on Instagram (trying to get a comment section on the blog asap!).

Okay, I know this is an odd picture, but I tried Pal’s for the first time, and it was SO good! I see what all the hype is about. I tried the chipped ham sandwich with mustard instead of mayo. And yes, I tried the cheddar rounds, but I honestly didn’t think they were that good!!

I started a bookmark cross stitch project, but I actually ended up completely losing this orange thread. I got farther on the project than this picture shows, but I don’t know what to do until I find the thread because I have no idea what number it was.

I took my cross stitch work home in one of my favorite wicker purses, and I just felt so wife-like. It was pretty funny to me and Preston!

My mom threw an all-family graduation celebration, and it was just what I needed. So glad to have a family who celebrates me so well.

I waited in SUCH a long line to go in Trader Joe’s last week, but it was so worth it. The line moved so fast, and I got some good items! I think it’s time for an updated trader joe’s favorites.

I shared last week that I am happily back at barre3, and I love this picture from my favorite spot in the room! I love overlooking those evergreen trees.

My neighbor received this Etta B cream and sugar set for her wedding, and I am in love with it!! It would fit perfectly with the afternoon tea I want to host soon!

I hope you all enjoy this post! I hope to do these very regularly in the future.

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
