Welcome

Gift Guide For The Men In Your Life

November 21, 2020

As I am typing this, I have just asked for gift guide ideas on Instagram. Let me tell you, you guys are in desperate for manly gift guides!! Preston and I actually aren’t exchanging gifts this year (going on a Christmas/anniversary trip instead!), but I am still gifting a lot of things to the other men in my life including my dad, father in law, brother and brother in law!

I am going to try to do a mix of price ranges because I know spending amount just depends on your situation and relationship. Here we go!

Lululemon Bowline Pants- Okay Preston helped me with this one, and I couldn’t agree more because they look so good on him! I think these work for so many ages and style preferences too. Also, these are a SPLURGE. I definitely recognize that. I will say though, this is an amazing gift and the receiver will definitely appreciate the quality.

His Favorite Coffee + Accessories- This is actually what I am getting my brother this year, but it’s mainly because he is moving into a new house! I think it’s an extra special touch if you know his favorite coffee blend or brand. I got this 64 oz. airtight container and this coffee scoop so he will be good to go! Also, here’s a little extra thing I saw while I was browsing, but I thought this cold brew maker looked really neat. A ton of guys I know really like cold brew!

Slides- Admittedly, I want these for myself, haha. Preston loves these for taking the trash out, running out really quick in the summer and anything else! I actually hate when men wear flip flops, (a personal problem, not judging if your guy does haha!) but these don’t bother me since they cover a lot of the foot/toe area.

Desk Calendar- I got this for my dad this year, and I am so excited to give it to him!!

Wall Calendar- I have linked and pictured a knoxville specific one, but I am also including this general national parks one in case you’re reading this and not a Knoxville native!

Dopp Kit- Preston has this and loves it! Makes packing to travel so much easier and holds everything he needs.

Stanley Coffee Cup- These are just a classic! I don’t know about you all, but the men in my family love Stanley. I think they could always use a new/extra one.

Carhartt Beanie- Again, my husband has this and loves it!

Bombas Socks- These are very expensive for socks, but they’re seriously mine, Preston’s, my mom and my father-in-law’s favorite socks! We just love them. I didn’t know socks could be improved upon until I got these.

Into the Wild- Books are obviously entirely dependent on their preferences, but I think it is always nice when someone gets you a book you think they’ll like! This one is a true survival type story set in Alaska, which is just right up my dad’s alley!

Mike’s Hot Honey- This is more like a stocking stuffer, but I know a ton of guys love spice, and this seems really unique!

Amazon Basics Hoodie- Okay, I accidentally saved the best for last! My mom got this for Preston last year, and it’s his most worn piece of clothing! He loves how simple it is- no logo or anything! It is also soooo affordable even though it’s so inexpensive,

I had to cut the gift guide off because it was getting a little long, but I also wanted to quickly mention other gifts I have given Preston in the past include board games (catan and ticket to ride are two of his favorites!), a record player and vinyls.

Also consulted my dad on this guide and he said this meat thermometer he has would be a great gift! I’ve also seen this app-connected meat thermometer on a couple other male-centered gift guides this year!

Thanks for coming on this long journey with me! I am just cracking up because I originally thought I would barely be able to think of anything, and now here I am forcing myself to stop finding gifts!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
