It’s officially gift guide time! Several people have asked if I am putting together gift guides this year, and honestly the answer was going to be no. Then, Carly from Carly the Prepster shared an INCREDIBLE small business gift guide, and it really encouraged me to do the same except with the businesses I hold near and dear to my heart.
Otherwise, I don’t think I will do too many gift guides, simply because I am not shopping much this year and don’t really have the passion behind looking (I am trying to keep myself from feeling blogger guilt, but I am so sorry if you were counting on some gift guides!). The only roundup I think I may do is men’s stocking stuffers, as random as that is it’s the only category I am buying multiple things in. Let me know if you’re interested in a big roundup of everything I am getting everyone on my list, that’s more in line with what I am interested in doing this year.
Without further ramblings, here are my favorite small businesses I am looking to #shoplocal from this holiday season!
Pedal Java Coffee – The incredibly kind duo behind Pedal Java coffee works tirelessly to keep their coffee business thriving, and I love supporting them so, so much. They’re passion behind the business is so evident in how they do business. They deliver all over Knoxville and will ship their beans and coffee products straight to your door! I know they have different roasts to fit any coffee lover, but we especially love the devils food cake and tough nut.
My Kind of Lovely – So many cute tees and accessories! They always release the most perfect holiday sweatshirts. Use the code ‘Loren15‘ for 15% off one item!
Back Porch Mercantile – BPM is one of the dreamiest home stores. While going into the store is the *ultimate* experience, they also carry a lot of beautiful items online and take call in orders for items they share on their Instagram! With a mainly neutral color palette, I think anything in the store could be gifted!
AR Workshop- With so many locations around the country, AR Workshop is perfect because it’s still a small business, but there’s probably a locally-owned location to even your long-distance family members. We have been so many times, and I think it’s fair to say even the least creative person on your list would enjoy going. Better yet, book a night for both of you to go together! It really is the most fun girls night.
Union Ave Books – This local Knoxville books store stocks not only the most current trending reads but also a plethora of amazing giftable books. I love giving people special edition classics like little women or anne of green gables or other specialty books that remind me of them! I think my mom has the Harry Potter illustrated Editions on her wishlist this year, and I am hoping to pick some up there!
DW Designs – Specializing in Knoxville designs, this shop constantly releases new UT and Knoxville themed apparel! All the vol fans in my life love receiving a tee from here. They also sell Great Smoky Mountain National Park themed gear, and a few of the guys in my family have already received multiple of those designs from me!
Origami Day – If you read my post about planning, you’ll know I am absolutely obsessed with Origami Day planning services and products. Use the code ‘grace‘ for free shipping on your planner book! This planner is so open and flexible, I think almost anyone could find great uses for it!
Magpies – If you like gifting edible sweet treats, look no further than Magpies. This iconic Knoxville bakery goes above and beyond for the daily treats they stock but also for the custom orders. They’re so flexible, and we have ordered multiple custom treats from them in the past few months. You can’t go wrong with any of the treats, but we love the thumbprint cookies, regular cakes and cheesecakes.
Breck and Grier – I first heard of this company through Carly’s small business gift guide, and I am not joking when I say I ordered one of their bags within five minutes of being on the site. I mean, they’re just too cute for me. I actually ordered the mini sized tote for my friend’s soon-to-be born baby girl, but I think I will keep stalking the site to purchase my own! I used Carly’s code, PREP for 25% off.
Paris Woodhull – Paris Woodhull is a local Knoxville artist who specializes in creative illustrations. Her work is seriously beautiful and so unique! She has more than just Knoxville art work, and I really think her prints and other offerings would be perfect for that person who just seems to already have everything.
Makin’ Merry Studios – Who wouldn’t love to receive a beautiful flower arrangement or live wreath for Christmas? This female owned and operated business grows their own organic flowers and creates stunning works of art.
Is there a small business I missed? Make sure to send me your favorite small business on Instagram today, and I may share!
