Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers

December 6, 2020

I was thinking of a post for today while simultaneously picking up things around my house. These two activities were obviously very beneficial to do together because I realized there were so many stocking stuffer type items in my house I could share! Also, stockings are the only gifts we’re (Preston and I) giving each other this year, so I’m a little bit more inspired for this category!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas Across All Gifting Categories

Milk Frother- We do not personally own this, but I have multiple friends who love this one and use it daily. I think it’s definitely the best milk frother in its price range.

Epsom Bath Salts- This is my absolute favorite scent of bath salts from this brand. It smells SO. GOOD. It also moisturizes your skin in the best way. I think this is a great gift for any self-care enthusiast in your life.

Buff City Soap- Buff City Soap has taken over Knoxville, every single day I hear a new person obsessing over Buff City Soap. I first thought it was a small situation, but then I realized Knoxville is one in a loooong list of cities with a Buff City Soap location. If you don’t have one near you, their online shop is fully stocked! The laundry detergent is my personal favorite, but I have also been wanting to try the soap whip.

Lantern- My mom and I love gifting these! They just come in handy for so many circumstances. I don’t think these to be exclusively reserved for men, any home owner would be happy to receive these.

Candle Maintenance Set- This is personally on my Christmas list! These tools really lengthen the life of your candles.

Mike’s Hot Honey- Preston may or may not be getting this in his stocking… Make sure your receiver likes spice!

Bum Bum Cream- I actually didn’t realize how badly I want to try this! The mini size is $20, and if you have someone my age or even younger in your stocking line up, she’ll probably be interested in this too!

Poo-pourri- Okay, maybe this is a weird gift, but we personally love it. I have one for our house, but this to-go container of it would also come in handy too.

Bombas Socks- You guys know I included these in my men’s gift guide as well, but it’s just because they’re so dang good.

Kendra Scott Earrings- This would be a total splurge in the stocking, but it would definitely go a long way in stocking it up.

Touchless Key-chain- I don’t personally have one of these either, but I honestly can’t see who wouldn’t want to receive one! Use ‘Loren15’ for 15% off one item at MKL!

Gift Cards- My mom usually includes at least one gift card in everyone’s stocking, and it’s truly the gift that keeps on giving. We always look so forward to going to spend the gift cards after Christmas each year. She’s given us ULTA, J. Crew, Lululemon, etc in the past!

Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but I LOVE receiving hygiene products in my stocking. Once you’re to the point of buying your own, it’s really nice to receive them and especially those pricier items we sacrifice on to save a few dollars throughout the year.

I hope this sparked some ideas for stocking stuffers this year! I always love the stocking, and sometimes it contains my favorite things.

Wishing you all a merry holiday season leading up to the big day!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
