Welcome

If I Was Shopping

July 28, 2020

featured-image

I love online window shopping- something about just picturing the items, how I would style them, taking note of trends I have seen, etc. is just so fun. I realized I had built up quite a few reoccurring notices, and I wanted to round them up here.

Barrington Gifts Crossbody- I have the St. Anne Zippered tote and absolutely LOVE it. But it is a little bit too big for a date night purse. This one would be perfect for dates, girls night out and more! Then I could save my other one for work and errands.

ON tennis shoes- I’ve seen these everywhere lately, then my parents asked me if I had heard anything about them, and I knew it was official- I needed to research these unique tennis shoes. I found them at Nordstrom, and while they have less colors than the website, I don’t know what size I would be so I think Nordstrom would be the best place to order (free returns!!). In the process of putting this post together, I realized there were quite a few shoes I was eyeing- I may have to do an entire post dedicated to that!

Barefoot dreams cardigan- maybe it’s Taylor’s new album or just my yearning for fall weather, but I am seriously eyeing one of the Barefoot Dreams cardigans for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I have the Barefoot robe, and it is seriously amazing.

Casual dresses- I feel like I have been wearing the same 3-4 dresses every single week, and it’s getting out of hand. I really think I would enjoy having a few more casual, breezy dresses in my summer wardrobe, and these Walmart dresses are a great price!

Supergoop sunscreen- I have seen so, so many people share this sunscreen, and it looks amazing. It’s a little bit pricey, but I feel it would last a long time.

Cross stitch pattern- okay this is only $4, but I haven’t spent any money on cross stitch patterns yet, so I haven’t fully committed yet! I also want to try this embroidery pattern, but this feels way too ambitious for my first embroidery project.

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
