My 200th Blog Post

After working on some backend development pieces of a new blog layout that may or may not be coming in the near future (hehe), I realized my 200th blog post was on the horizon. Today’s post marks that milestone, and I didn’t want to let the moment pass without commemorating it.

I think the aspect I love the most about the blog is its way of allowing me to mentally remember myself at different stages of the blog process. When I first started Classically Grace over on Instagram, I was scared, anxious and embarrassed of having the blog. I had the biggest hopes and dreams for it to be an outlet for good, but each time I posted something or took pictures for the blog I felt worry and dread over what people would think or say when they saw my posts.

So I quit. I didn’t post on my account for years. I pretended it didn’t happen. I told no one about it. I felt like a failure.

And yet, I still had this lingering hope and desire to make something out of the writing, photos and sharing I had inside of me. My parents, friends and Preston encouraged me to give it another try, so when I knew I was studying abroad, I decided to go for it. Preston made classicallygrace.com for me, and I have never looked back!

Admittedly, I still feel lingering doubts and thoughts like I described in all the seasons above, but overall I am so much more confident and sure of myself and this platform. I am also so so content with the small but mighty following we have here, and every comment and message mean so much to me.

There have been some seasons of this platform when I have so many ideas for blog posts I can’t write them down fast enough and some times when I just can’t get motivated to finish a post to save my life. I have definitely noticed those moments of being missing on the blog align with the busiest seasons in school or wedding planning, but I have also seen how much fun I have now that I have more free time to work on this.

Thank you all, no matter if you have been here since the very beginning or if you just joined along. I just want you all to know I hope to be doing this for 2,000 more posts!

Almost 21 days of time moving my body with this community! Doesn’t even capture the enjoyable hours spent at book clubs, special events, working play lounge years ago, all the things 🧡

Couldn’t let this accomplishment pass without a spot on the feed! I’m so thankful for this community and the lifelong friendships I’ve created out of it.
