Welcome

My Christmas List

November 18, 2020

featured-image

Truthfully, I feel I don’t need much for Christmas this year. We had a whirlwind year last year full of our friends and family spending tons of time with us and gifting us everything we could ever possibly need for our house, and it has seriously helped us get off to a great start.

Also, Preston and I are pretty committed to spending money we would spend on gifts for each other on a trip instead. Our wedding anniversary is right after Christmas, so it’s the perfect time to save up for a big (or weekend) trip.

All that said, there are still a few things I have had my eye on this year!

Half Baked Harvest Super Simple Cookbook – Obsessed with everything Halfbaked Harvest, so I think this is a must.

Magnolia Table, Vol. 2 – The first one is one of my most used cookbooks ever! This would also make a great gift for almost anyone.

Ray LaMontagne Record – I have been exclusively listening to Ray LaMontagne lately. Something about him is so fall and winter.

Candle Kit – This isn’t as much of a want as it is a need. I haven’t had a candle trimmer in so long, and the quality of my candles definitely shows.

Nespresso Pods – Again, a need. We go through these embarrassingly fast!

Outdoor Voices Exercise Dress – This is *the* dress everyone is raving about. It has well over 2,000 reviews and it sits at 5 stars! I am definitely eyeing this for errands and running around town.

Lululemon Perfectly Oversized Crew – So as we have been hiking more this year, I quickly realized I don’t have anything that’s athletic wear + is just plain. Everything I have has some sort of saying or design painted across the front, and I have just really been wanting some classic and clean pieces to wear hiking and around town. This is the perfect piece! FYI, size waayyyyy down! Especially if you’re petite.

Cozy slippers – I looooove house shoes, but I am also a house shoe snob at the same time?? I don’t know why, but I am very specific about them. I have had a Tom’s pair that I’ve loved for years, but they’re just worn out. Tom’s doesn’t make them any more, but I think I would like this pair even better!

Fleece pull over – back to the lack of simple, classic pieces!

That’s just about it! What are you asking for this Christmas? Let me know on Instagram– I think it’s fun to get ideas from other people’s lists!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
