I was finally approved to share Amazon links through Like to Know it, and I am SO excited!! There were so many post ideas bouncing around in my head, only for me to realize I couldn’t link Amazon items and realize most of the items mentioned in the post were going to be from Amazon. Read more
Bliss List
Brighton from Brighton The Day is one of my favorite blog follows (check out my recent post with all my daily blog reads!), and a few days ago she shared the concept of a “Bliss List,” and I thought it was an interesting concept! I honestly wanted to create one regardless of doing a blog post about it or not, but then I figured it might be fun to share so everyone could create their bliss list. Read more
Affordable Fall Decor
Ah, fall is in the air. Well, not exactly. But I am trying to channel the fall spirit a little bit by bringing out my pumpkins and chilly weather staples! I thought I would quickly roundup a few affordable fall decor items you can order online. I am also sharing in-store purchases only over on my Instagram stories today!Read more
Blogs I Read Every Day
I am not sure how many people still read blogs, but I have been a diligent blog reader since I was in high school and never stopped. I just love learning new things, leaving inspired and getting to know other people/perspectives. I can accomplish all three of these goals after checking my usual blogs each morning before I start work, and I thought it would be fun to share those with you all today in case anyone is looking for new blogs or wants to start reading blogs regularly. My Blog Writing Process
I’ve been in such a good groove with blog writing lately, and I think it’s partly due to the process I accidentally started implementing into my blogging routine. For a while, I was struggling so much to come up with fresh content and anything I would think of didn’t sound interesting to read about AT ALL. But, I powered through and would post just when I was feeling inspired/thought of a good topic (aka not Read more
My Thoughts on Capsule Wardrobes, What is it? Would I Start One?
I thought I had talked about the concept of capsule wardrobing on the blog before, but after it got randomly brought up when we were recording Nice to Have a Friend last week, I realized I had never broached the topic on the blog before. I’m so curious if a lot of you have heard of capsule wardrobes before, but personally I hadn’t heard of one until probably 2017 when I saw this video on Youtube (love those youtubers by the way!).Read more
One Pair of Shoes, Three Ways
It feels so long ago that I did a style post and simply shared an outfit with you all. I was missing the fun of putting an outfit together, and just decided to go for it after getting in one pair of shoes I ordered from the Nordstrom Sale. I haven’t been shopping much, so something about getting one new pair of shoes really refreshed my outlook on my wardrobe. Luckily, at the time I am putting this post together, these shoes are completely in stock in black, leopard and snakeskin.Read more
Nordstrom Sale Accessories Still Fully Stocked
The Nordstrom Sale hot items sold out faster than ever before this year, but there are still a lot of accessories to go around! I have always been a huge fan of buying accessories to make the items already hanging in your closet feel a little more special and trendy. Read more
Back at the Movies
If you’re new around here, you might not realize that Preston and I are OBSESSED with going to the movies, talking about movies, and all the other things that come with cinema. I’ve published several movie review on my blog, but they have sadly died off with theaters being closed and movie releases halting. We checked our Regal account and saw that our last movie was actually on February 22nd when we went to see Birds of Prey. We didn’t *love* that movie, and I remember joking, “wow that stinks if that’s the last movie we saw for a month!’Read more
Listen to My New Podcast!
My friend Alyson has been coming over the spend the day with me about once a month since school let out in March. On one of these particular day dates, Alyson explained that she was interested in starting a podcast. I have thought on and off about starting a podcast and brainstormed different podcast themes for several years. When she brought this up, it felt like God’s little nudge to just go for it! Read more
