It’s time for another photo diary! With Preston and I almost fully vaccinated (going to get our second one this Friday!), things are feeling sooo close to normal. It’s been great, but we’ve already found ourselves creeping closer to that breakneck speed things were going at before the pandemic.
Traffic is back, restaurants are crowded again, events seem to be picking up- it’s nice, but it is also a little overwhelming. I am definitely feeling there will be an adjustment curve for me to get back into things.
Of course, I wish the pandemic had never happened for so many reasons. I cannot lie though, I have come out of this with more positives than negatives, mainly the awareness that I was doing WAY too much before the pandemic. This pace of life has been so much better and more sustainable for us, and I don’t ever want to return to the chaos of before.
What does all of this have to do with the photo diary? Nothing really except we are obviously doing way more than we have in the past several of these!
If you’re new to these posts, I try to share unedited, unposted photos here. If you want to see a more curated, but still authentic highlight reel, I share almost every single day on my Instagram.
My kitchen is my favorite part of our house, and it’s definitely where I spend the most time. This picture of our kitchen just gives me so much joy. I finished cleaning it and looked back and felt so grateful for the space.
We went to Honeybee one Sunday, and I got a nitro. It was sooo good.
We had Preston on the podcast, and somehow it got brought up that he is always looking at and asking about holographic patterns for his research. I caught him taking pictures of the holographic posters at Michael’s haha. I was there grabbing watercolor supplies, hopefully more to come on that soon.
We went to brunch with my mom and unintentionally had a Brittany and KFed moment with the matching denim.
Listen to me, if you like Black Bean burgers and have a Tupelo Honey near you, you have got to try their black bean burger. I usually add mustard, and it is so unbelievably good.
We made the defined dish turkey bean chili, and it was amazing.
I bought these pink jeans because they were on sale for literally $12 (sold out now), but they sadly didn’t fit well at all. I wore them around the house just to make sure they wouldn’t stretch out- sadly they did not but the joy I got from them matching my La Croix so well was a consolation prize.
Finally got back to my beloved Trader Joe’s, and it was so nice.
These are my favorite version of Clorox wipes, but because oft the pandemic I hadn’t been able to find them in so long. They are truly the best! I felt like such an adult because I was thrilled over these.
