Welcome

Pumpkin Patch Outfit + Photo Ideas

October 17, 2018

It’s fall y’all! Finally, real fall weather has arrived in East Tennessee, and it is truly glorious. I walked out of my dorm on one of the first good weather days last week and squealed in delight! It’s finally time for cuter clothes, hot coffee, and fall events. My first fall event was a trip to my local pumpkin patch with my friends from school. We had the best time at Oakes Farm, and I definitely recommend going there if you’re local! They have sunflower and wildflower fields, a hayride, a pumpkin patch and tons of activities for kids!

I loooove these boots. I have been wearing them out! I also just got these socks from KJP- I really like them, but they are huge on me. I am a size seven so I make them work, but if you have a bigger foot or looking to get them for a guy they might be better. Mine are sold out, but here is a really cute pair!

This Madewell sweater I am wearing is sold out, but here is a similar one and here is a post about all my other favorite sweaters.

This Madewell tie scarf is my new favorite item! I talked about it in my hair accessories post– I have been wearing it so many ways.

I am wearing Lucky Brand jeans. They are my favorite jeans ever- I get one pair every year and wear them out! They are an investment, but I think they are worth it.

My Rebecca Minkoff purse is my favorite fall/winter bag.

And of course, my go-to Kendra Scott earrings.

My friend Katie brought her nice camera and I brought my polaroid. I loved snapping a picture of Hannah and Katie and giving it to them as a little treat! Here is my polaroid camera- I love this. It’s less bulky than the ones most people have and the film is a lot cheaper. Polaroid cameras are great for taking pictures and having them as a prop in your pictures. Everyone is always looking for a cure to “What do I do with my hands?!” haha.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
