Recent Blog Posts I’ve Loved

July 6, 2020

There are some weeks when I am so in the groove on blog posts and a plethora of post ideas is always readily available in my head. Then, there are other weeks when nothing feels interesting or exciting, and I just can’t think of a single thing my readers would be interested in. Whenever this happens, I love to take a step back and read a few of my go-to favorite bloggers for a little inspiration. When I was doing just this earlier today, I thought it might be nice to round up a few of the posts that have inspired me lately- chances are if I found it interesting some of you might as well or you might stumble on a new person you love to follow. I am obsessed with reading blogs, and I think if I had to pick between reading blog posts or scrolling instagram, I would give up Insta in a heart beat! There’s just something so personal about it.

Here are a few posts from some of my favorite bloggers lately:

Carly shared a few things she was grateful for, and I found this so refreshing. It’s a nice reminder to always put listing gratitudes on the top of my priority list, even if content isn’t low.

Brighton shared three ways she is invigorating her prayer life- I really, really needed this reminder. I have been just simply forgetting to pray before bed each night as I have for my entire life! I think I got thrown off my groove when I was first married because of the big change to my nightly routine. I am committed to getting more intentional with my prayer time, and I think this post is really helpful.

Katie discussed different alternatives to shopping on Amazon, which is something I really needed to hear!

Krista rounded up a HUGE post of recommendations on hosting a small wedding in light of COVID-19’s impact on the wedding industry and so many brides. I am considering writing a post about the best ways to support a COVID-19 bride. I know so many brides navigating this difficult time, and they have personally shared with me the different ways people have honored them and listened to them during this time, and I would just really love to share with you all!

Half Baked Harvest’s one pot pasta bake look so, so good!! Preston is really picky about pasta, but I am pretty sure he would like this one. This isn’t a new article, but she reshared it on her Instagram story, and my mouth was watering while watching it!

Grace shared her patio, and I am actually obsessed with it! I don’t even have a patio or an outdoor space, but I just love what she did with such a small, street side space.

That’s it for my recent post inspirations! I hope you all enjoy these types of roundup posts- i would love to do them for other categories in the future!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
