I have seen so many shares and posts on Facebook about new online shopping addictions since quarantine began, but I haven’t found myself buying much at all! We have saved more money than ever before- it’s thrilling for us! But we are both so thankful to still have jobs where we can work remotely with a supportive team to back us. My birthday was also over this time period, so I was gifted a few of these items. Here are the things I have purchased/been gifted during this time.

Prints from Artifact Uprising- I have been working on a miniature gallery wall in our foyer, and these prints from Artifact Uprising are such high quality! I didn’t realize how low quality some other brands’ prints were until I saw these. I can’t wait to show off the finished product- it’s been a very long work in progress.

Food processor- This was a birthday gift, and I am soooo excited to use it! This was one of the last kitchen appliances we didn’t have, but I was on the fence about getting one. The only food processors I had seen were huge and bulky, until my neighbor showed me this mini-processor! Her’s works wonderfully, and I can’t wait to put it to good use!

J. Crew Sale items- J. Crew had an incredible sale on Memorial Day Weekend! I was seriously so surprised. Factory had 60% off clearance, and they actually had some summery and spring pieces. I picked up some linen pants and a top for work! I also noticed these cute sandals, but I didn’t really need a new pair.

Target sweatpants- I didn’t own sweatpants before this all happened! I know that’s hard to believe. I am so glad to finally have something to

Blender-  Our blender bit the dust halfway through quarantine, and for a while I wasn’t sure if I needed to immediately repurchase one or not.

Roomba- Preston actually surprised me with a Roomba for my birthday! We don’t ever spend this much money on our birthday presents for each other, but this was something we had been talking about getting for a while now. It was kind of a present to us both! We have the perfect size condo for the Roomba to reach every surface, and it fits perfectly under all our furniture and room layouts. I really love it so much!!

That’s just about it! I am so glad my shopping itch hasn’t risen too much recently- I am saving so much money!

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
