If you’ve been following me around here for any period of time, you’ll definitely know I’m not a big shopper. Am I always window shopping? Yes. Do I ever actually buy anything? Not really.
Every now and then though, I see a small uptick in purchases that occur outside the grocery store, and I like sharing around here. Something about this type of content is so pleasing for me to read and consume, and with so few chances to do it myself, why not?!
Be warned, this list is as random as it gets!
Cheese Whisp Snacks
Kate from Lonestar Southern shared a discount code for these Whisp Cheese Snacks, and I was so influenced for some reason. I don’t know if it was because I was viewing her stories on my computer and could easily swipe up to purchase? Either way, I’m so excited to try them out!
Her code is ‘LONESTAR20’ for 20 percent off any Whisp snacks on Amazon! I got the variety three pack, and I will report back if they’re tasty or not. I’ve been obsessed with savory and salty lately, and I think these look like the perfect bite to enjoy after dessert.
Madewell Athletic Shorts
I’ve gushed over these shorts many times on my Instagram thus far, but they’re just so dang good I need to plug them here. They’re light, breathable, not see-through, provide good coverage- just amazing. Take my word for it! I would definitely size down though. I’m usually a medium in Nike shorts, and I was a solid small in these!
Magnolia Cookbook Vol. 2
Aren’t we all Joanna Gaines obsessed? I do not keep up with her religiously, but her first cookbook was gifted to us, and it’s amazing. The recipes are super, super simple classics that you’ve probably had a hundred times but these are foolproof and delicious.
I haven’t had a ton of time to comb through this second one or make anything from it, but I have made a lot of the recipes she teased the second cookbook with over on her YouTube. This french silk pie was so good. I cannot wait to make some delicious recipes from this!
Bathtub Drain Cover
This is soooo random. Our building was built in the 60s and we’re fairly certain our bathtub is original. It’s fine and working, but our drain stopper doesn’t work. I would have to continuously run water to keep the bath even halfway up, so I had to just give my baths up- it was waisting too much water!
Then, this handy dandy gadget came along. It is super simple, but it basically just covers your drain so no water escapes. Very specific, but if you’re living that old house life like us, very necessary. It’s under $5 for two! Not sure why you would need two, but it’s nice to have a backup!
I warned you this would be random. I never claimed to be the most interesting shopper! I will hopefully get better at that, but for now I am proud of myself for not spending money we don’t have during this newlywed phase.
We are actually getting vaccinated today, so we’re definitely looking forward to saving more money to travel when it’s safe again!
