Welcome

The best hair products

October 3, 2018

featured-image

I have never been interested in hair care. I leave my hair the way it dries- stick straight, and until earlier this year I had never dyed my hair. When it comes to hair, I am extremely low maintenance. A few months ago, me and my mom started using Drybar products, and we have been obsessed ever since! The packaging is so nice and the smells are amazing. Not to mention the products themselves work surprisingly well. Drybar has made me interested in hair, which is something I never thought I would say! Today I want to talk about my favorite drybar products to transform my slick, straight hair!

Prep Rally detangling spray

If you have oily hair like me, you need this product! I am unable to use conditioner because it makes my hair uncontrollably oily, so this product helps me to untangle my hair straight out of the shower. It smells so good and works even better!

Triple Sec texturizing spray

My hair is very slick, but this gives it some texture! I use this right after blow drying and before using my hot rollers.

The Warden medium hold hair spray

Drybar has multiple hair spray holds, but I really like the medium hold for strength without being crunchy.

Lemon Drop

I love when wet brushes became popular a few years ago! This one from Drybar works great and it is so stinking cute.

Blow dryer

I have to borrow this from my mom, but it is on my Christmas list! It is really high powered so it gets the job done quickly, and I just love the yellow color. I can also see myself liking this sparkly one they have for the holidays. It is a splurge, but around the holidays they sell a variety pack with the blow dryer, brush, and lots of sample sized products for the same price as just the dryer.

What I am looking to try-

They just came out with a straightener brush, and I think this would be really interesting to try!

I also want to dive into the shampoo they offer!

Let me know if you guys try any of these out! I promise, the smell if the products and quality is the best.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
