Welcome

What I’m Eyeing for Summer

April 21, 2021

If you’ve been a frequent reader here for any length of time, you will definitely know I am the opposite of a summer person. I truly thrive mentally and physically in fall and winter, so it can be really hard for me to look forward to summer.

One thing I can do to combat this feeling is look ahead to some of the cuter wardrobe staples you just can’t wear any other time, so today I thought I would share those pieces I have or am really looking at to make summer brighter. This looks like a lot, but my birthday is in the summer, and I definitely still won’t end up with all this by the end of the summer.

Can you tell I’m dying to try Nécessaire? I’ve seen so much about it on Instagram, and I have to trust the rave reviews I’ve seen everywhere. The same goes for the lip sleeping mask.

I’ve also been eyeing these tie wedges, can’t you just picture those with easy summer dresses and a big sun hat? Those neutral sandals just look too versatile and comfortable to not love!

I’ve shared my love for matching sets on Instagram, but you need to know that I’m incredibly obsessed with anything from the MWL line at Madewell! I went into the store this past weekend and feel even more in love with many of the pieces. Sweatshirts for summer might seem weird, but I really like to still have one in the evenings or inside.

This dress and this shirt are both under $30, and this necklace is only $12! Those might be early winners on the list for me.

Hopefully this provided a little summer retail therapy inspiration for you, I know it definitely did the trick for me! Even window shopping can be the perfect antidote to seasonal transition blues.
