9 Festive Christmas Recipes You Have to Try

December 15, 2021

Christmas Recipes

Christmas is right around the corner! I’ve been dreaming about all the Christmas recipes I’ve made in the past, and I thought it would be handy for me (and you!) to have these all rounded up in one place as a little inspiration guide.

Please let me know if you make one of these recipes and what you think!! Merry Christmas everyone!

Here are Christmas recipes I’ve made in the past

Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls

I’ve made these cinnamon rolls multiple times now, and they are always a huge hit. I don’t use the eggnog, but I want to try them sometime. If you’ve always been intimidated by making homemade cinnamon rolls, please give these a try! I promise it’s not as hard once you get going.

I prep these on Christmas Eve, and I sit them out to reach room temperature while we’re opening presents. Then I just pop them in the oven as soon as we finish unwrapping for a delicious, festive breakfast.

Homemade Crockpot Christmas Peanuts

This recipe is sooo special to me. My grandma made these (multiple batches) every single year, and the taste of them just screams Christmas to me. They are so incredibly easy, and the recipe makes a HUGE batch. If you need to give a lot of Christmas gifts, these are so easy to wrap up for a festive little gift or addition.

Cranberry Brie Pastry Tarts

I made these for a Christmas appetizer last year, and they were so good. I could have eaten them all!

Christmas Charcuterie Board

We went overboard on a Christmas charcuterie board last year, like really we made it way too big! But the idea is still fun. If your whole family is a fan, suggest a huge, heavy charcuterie board for the entire meal and have everyone bring a few things that sound good. It comes together really quickly and doesn’t involve turning on the hot oven in the already hot kitchen.

Green Bean Casserole

We made this for the first time for thanksgiving this year, and I loved it so much. It was so nice to have something crisp and fresh on the plate to balance out some of the softer foods.

I think I’m going to make it again for a little Christmas gathering we’re having.

Gingerbread Cutout Cookies

I made these this year, and they were so good and spiced! The recipe also made a ton which was nice!

Here are some new Christmas recipes I am trying this year

Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Do these not look amazing? I’m thinking I will do this, a turkey from Honey Baked Ham, the green bean casserole and maybe a sweet potato dish.

Brown Maple Sugar Cookie Pie

Yummm. My friend made this for thanksgiving and highly recommended it, so I am dying to give it a try.

Garlic Parmesan Bread

Lastly, I just think this looks amazing and incredibly easy. This would go so well with almost anything I feel like.

I hope some people make these recipes alongside me in the next few days! I’m so excited for Christmas!!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.

I also made her brown butter broccolini from the same cookbook. Delish!
