I’ve been in such a good groove with blog writing lately, and I think it’s partly due to the process I accidentally started implementing into my blogging routine. For a while, I was struggling so much to come up with fresh content and anything I would think of didn’t sound interesting to read about AT ALL. But, I powered through and would post just when I was feeling inspired/thought of a good topic (aka not Read more
Back at the Movies
If you’re new around here, you might not realize that Preston and I are OBSESSED with going to the movies, talking about movies, and all the other things that come with cinema. I’ve published several movie review on my blog, but they have sadly died off with theaters being closed and movie releases halting. We checked our Regal account and saw that our last movie was actually on February 22nd when we went to see Birds of Prey. We didn’t *love* that movie, and I remember joking, “wow that stinks if that’s the last movie we saw for a month!’Read more
Listen to My New Podcast!
My friend Alyson has been coming over the spend the day with me about once a month since school let out in March. On one of these particular day dates, Alyson explained that she was interested in starting a podcast. I have thought on and off about starting a podcast and brainstormed different podcast themes for several years. When she brought this up, it felt like God’s little nudge to just go for it! Read more
Meet Me At The Drive-In
I had never been to a drive-in movie before, but I don’t think that’s entirely uncommon. There’s a drive in about 35 minutes from my house that I believe has been there for several decades, but other than that, I don’t actually think there are that many of them still scattered around the country. Today’s post is going to be all about my experience at the Parkway Drive-In, in case you have been wanting to go to it specifically Read more

I shared my top tips for evoking the feeling of travel during a pandemic, and now I am following through with one of my own tips- make your own afternoon tea! I am so, so happy we did this. It was so much fun and really felt like such a treat. Read more
Recent Streaming Hits and Misses: Movies and TV
When I was brainstorming blog post ideas this morning, I realized I had watched a handful of streaming movies/shows recently that I hadn’t shared. My friend Alyson did a post about her recent shows, and I really liked the simplicity of just sharing something like this. There have been multiple streaming hits for me and just a few misses.Read more

Fall Inspiration
On August 1st I shared that I was itching to pull out my fall decorations, light a few candles and make a hot coffee, but I also asked for your all’s opinion on when it was socially acceptable to decorate for fall. Well, the answers were decidedly NOT August 1st, which I definitely accepted. Even my mom who is the queen of decorating for things early thought September 1 would be a better date for starting to evoke the fall mood. Read more
Meals Lately No. 2
I love rounding up the meals I had been coking last month, and I thought it would be fun to update you all once again. I have really been in my groove when it comes to cooking lately- one of the many joys working from home has afforded me. I was just telling Preston that I can tell how much I have grown as a cook because I made a meal I hadn’t cooked since one of the firstRead more
Taylor Swift- folklore
It’s no secret that I am a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. My mom got us tickets to see her Speak Now show in Nashville when I was in middle school, and I have been hooked ever since. As I get older, I appreciate her for new reasons. Her longevity, her business savvy, her ability to completely reinvent herself when needed. I think there’e just so much to unpack from her career and learn from her. Read more
