Welcome

Recent Purchases 9.16

September 16, 2021

I love sharing a haul of recent purchases when I’ve had a slight uptick in shopping. I’m trying not to buy too much ahead of our upcoming move (we’re trying to get rid of a lot!), but there area few things I can’t go without restocking on or getting for this little season!

This felt like a fun roundup to me, so I hope you guys like looking into this little random haul. I am definitely looking to change my wardrobe up a little bit once we get to California, so make sure to look our for a few more fashion posts mixed in with my regular content. I am slowly exploring and building a more classic, high quality wardrobe, which I couldn’t be more excited about.

What I Read: August 2021

September 8, 2021

This post is more than a week overdue, but I’m hoping after my announcement on Tuesday, it all makes a little more sense. Things have been a little busy around here to say the least!

But, I am extremely excited to get into what I read in August 2021. I had a slower summer for reading than I thought I would, but lately I’ve been picking up some more steam, so hopefully September’s roundup will be even better than this one!Read more

July Reads

It’s time for another monthly reading roundup! I have to admit that I’ve been slowing down on my reading pace slightly. I felt bad about this at first, but then I just finally got to the point of allowing myself to relax and know it’s okay 🙂 I am still reading (almost) every night for 1 hour or 30 minutes before bed, but I haven’t been doing as much reading outside of that time, and that’s okay!Read more

Daily Harvest Review + Discount Code

July 9, 2021

Daily Harvest Review

I’m so excited to bring a Daily Harvest Review and discount code to the blog today!

It’s been a busy season for everyone. With the world opening up again and many of us trying to make up for a lot of lost time, our good eating-at-home habits we built up during quarantine have basically went out the door.

All that to say, it’s been a lot harder to put something healthy on the table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Luckily enough, we stumbled across Daily Harvest and haven’t looked back!Read more

Eight Summer Reads

Another month, another I-can’t-believe-all-these-books-were-read-in-this-same-month feeling. Haha, but seriously that always happens to me. It feels like ages ago that I read some of these from the beginning of June.

This was a pretty good and diverse month for reading. I knocked out some titles that have been on my radar for a good while, and that always feels nice.Read more

9 Books To Read this Summer

Another great month of reading! I know I start all these posts this way, but reading has just been so good for me in the past five months.

I felt like I hadn’t read much that this month, and a third of the way through the month I think I had only read seven books- which I realize is still a lot, but for me it’s not up to par with my usual 10+. I finished at nine, which I am still really proud of.

Let’s get into my May reads.Read more

🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long: I 🍋 lemonade recipe to enjoy all summer long:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons), or more if you like it super tart!
- ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the sugar. Heat over medium, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup. My grandma just put the sugar directly into the lemonade which was so delish! But I played around with doing this and think it incorporates really well.

Let cool, then mix with lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of cold water. Optional! The tiniest dash of vanilla extract and very thinly sliced lemons.

Taste and adjust sugar or water if needed.

Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
