My husband and I have been on a money saving spree for quite a while now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t window shop *all* the time. It can be really fun to look at the items I would be buying if we weren’t saving for home projects and travel! Looking at sales, new items and fun brands is a huge part of running this blog and my instagram, so it’s fun to share the things I come across Read more

Recent Purchases
I have seen so many shares and posts on Facebook about new online shopping addictions since quarantine began, but I haven’t found myself buying much at all! We have saved more money than ever before- it’s thrilling for us! But we are both so thankful to still have jobs where we can work remotely with a supportive team to back us. My birthday was also over this time period, so I was gifted a few of these items. Here are the things I have purchased/been gifted during this time.Read more
Leopard lately
I have been drooling over all things leopard lately. It’s funny how things come in and out of style, but I really feel like leopard has been happening for a few years and only getting more and more popular. I shared on my Instagram stories Sunday that I picked up a leopard headband from Madewell and a pair of leopard barre socks, and it got me thinking about all the leopard pieces I have had to stop myself from adding to my cart recently. Black tie optional
I recently went to a black tie optional event in celebration of the 50th anniversary of my college at UTK, and it was one of the most fun experiences ever, meaning a blog post on it was a must. Not being in a sorority and being required to attend semi and formal events twice a year, I haven’t been to a really formal event since prom in high school. Prom was always so much fun, but there is something about the refined elegance that comes with an event labeled black tie or black tie optional. Read more
Game Day Shopping at West Town Mall
West Town Mall has been home to shopping for some of the most special occasions in my life to this point. My mom and I shopped there for father daughter dance dresses when I was in elementary school, I bought my high school graduation dress there and almost every pair of shoes I own have come from the Dillard’s shoe department. Preston and I stop in Williams Sonoma and dream about the appliances in there, andRead more

If you have been following along for a while, you know I love shopping at My Kind of Lovely. It’s the cutest boutique in the heart of campus, and they have free shipping for online orders. They couldn’t make it any easier toRead more

Fall Transition Pieces
If you have followed me since this time last year, you might have a glimpse into the degree in which I jump headfirst into fall each year around this time. I am usually the first person to walk in and smell the pumpkin candles, browse around the Halloween section and pop pumpkin bread in the oven. Unfortunately, Tennessee does not lend itself to fall clothing options until much later in the year, but I try to squeeze every last drop out of the season’s fashion. To do this, I rely heavily Read more
